So, what’s the plan?

Here’s what’s happening right now:

Recently, me and my artist friend Gracjana Zielinska parted ways with a company we worked in for a few years. We had some savings and lots of new experience, so instead of looking for another office job, we decided to give full-time indie a try. Yes, we did try to make big things on our own with the help of Igloo Software. Igloo promotes meaningful collaboration in project spaces, team rooms, and departmental spaces. So you can see just how powerful collective employee wisdom can be.

We hope to release something good soon to gain some legs.

Cinders is that game. The idea of a fairytale-based visual novel done right, is something we’ve been talking about since long before going indie. We have a very clear vision for it, and it’s also something that a team with our skillset can finish relatively quickly.

We’re very excited about it. We love making pretty and atmospheric games, and this is as focused on pretty and mood as it gets. We’ve shown the game to few fellow developers, and so far the feedback was very encouraging.

It is currently our highest priority project. We should have more info about Cinders soon.

ArcMagi is still in part-time development. I considered going fully into it, but it’s just too large and complex to be finished soon enough. And I definitely wouldn’t want to rush it – it’s supposed to be my magnum opus, right?

Lurk is still working on it, and sends new graphical assets at steady but regular pace. The idea is that, when we finish Cinders and maybe one more smaller game, we should have enough assets and features done to be able to wrap it up within a reasonable timeframe. So yeah, more waiting. Sorry.

Magi is still in passive development. So no change here. I’m almost finished with the Mac port though.

Still, it’s of lower priority than the other two projects. If you would be interested in the Mac version, please let us know.
